there are a few logical answers. youre a little old, but sometimes the hips still become wider as you go along..
and another possibility is the pre/during/post period business and/or water/salt in your diet....
have you ever fit something most of the time but not on during your period?
also maybe youve been retaining lots of water lately or had foods with lots of water in it.
so i mean it could be something simple like this. maybe youre taking a new medicine or vitamin that affects your water retention.. maybe its hte weather..
also are you sure you were using sizes manufactured more or less in the same time frame, same brand, and same style?
the size scale is not set. there are no size police who write tickets for companies or factories who are not sticking to a "standard"
it varies widely..
and about wthe whole attactive thing, think about it this way: it doesnt matter what size you are or how much you weigh so long as you look good right? you say you have a small stomach. youre probaly fine.
i mean muscle weighs more than fat. so some peple are really really heavy, AND theyre real small at the same time.
so i mean dont worry about the weight or the clothing size as long as your doctor says your kewl and when you look in the mirror you look decent.

You're lucky. I'm about a size 7 and I think I'm fat-you got it good :) People below are right; different brands have different measurements. A lot of name brands make the sizes bigger ie. I am a 4 at Old Navy when normally I am a 6 anywhere else. Big designers do that to make you feel good about yourself, so you return to buy clothes. And if a guy thinks you're big at 5, welll, that's too bad for him= most women aren't that size...

Dont freak out, I learned that about 3 years ago, I freaked out too I thought I was gaining weight. You might be a size 3 for one brand of jeans but size 5 for another, different brands have different sizes. and Size 5 is not bad at all!!!

Different brands do tend to vary in size but PLEASE-don't equate attractiveness with appearance. That is the path to low self esteem and eating disorders. There is no "average size"-there are only different human beings with different bodies.
And, FYI-the smallest size I have been since puberty is a 12-and I've never had any problem attracting guys.

there is no "average size" anymore for a 16 year old. She can be a size 0 or a size 24.
so you wear a 5, I would say that in this day and age, thats smaller than normal...

i read an article in cosmo that sizes are getting smaller.(8 is like 6 and 6 is 4) the only thing that has stayed true to size are wedding dresses. so dont worry about it.. in my opinion, 5 is tiny. when you are 16 guys are too judgemental anyway. guys will still find you attractive.

Truth is? It's not what size clothes you wear, it's your attitude. If you act conceited and are a whiner, nobody will find that attractive at all.
