I was just look at laptop specifications and realized that the only optical drive it states is the DVDRW one, does this mean It'll have no CD-ROM drive or can you use it as a CD-ROM drive?

it is combination of ...

1. cd rom for reading cd r and rw
2. cd rw for writing cd r and rw
3. dvd rom for reading dvd r and rw
4. dvd rw for writing dvd r and rw

girl you have a powerful optical drive i wish i have also a optical drive like that...

You can use the DVDRW as CD ROM drive as well

My Desktop and Laptop have DVD reading and writing capabilities and I can still burn and play CDs. Why not put a CD in the drive and see if it recognizes it? :)

All DVD drives of any sort can read CD's as well. All DVD burners (to my knowledge) can also burn CD's

Check if it is multi driver or combo,but mind you most of the notebook now are multi drive,so you can read or copy any file.

Yes you can use it for both!

You can READ and WRITE your own DVD's and CD's.

don't fear... a DVDRW, or any DVD drive, will play any CD or CDROM.
