It will shut off if you plug in another seatbelt besides yours, like one from a junkyard, (minus the belt of course) Sometimes when I'm just sitting in my parked car, I'll plug in the passenger side belt to my side and this shuts the annoying seatbelt alarm off. However, when I'm driving I always wear my seatbelt. I was in a really bad car accident once and if it wasn't for my seatbelt, I'd probably be really messed up or even dead. Hope you never have to regret not wearing it.

Don't they usually shut off in a few seconds anyway?

Why on earth wouldn't you want to wear a seatbelt? With all the crazy drivers out there today, it's the first thing I do when I step into any car!

Man, don't it seem like a lecture to you, rather than a simple answer to a simple question, from a simple minded person? Look under the seat for wires. There is a connection to allow you to remove the seat without cutting wires. Unplug the wires and the warning signal is gone.

Just put the seatbelt on. It's not like they do it for fun...it's for your own well-being and safety.

best to wear it but all you need to do is find the two wires going to the plug and join em together
