man is not born of monkeys, but according to theory of evolution, man and monkeys had common ancestors, only that man has evolved more than monkeys.

Hi,
Darwin did not state that we 'were born of monkeys'.
What he did was observe the similarities between humankind and the apes and suggested that at one time we may have had a common ancestor.
Many people have looked for this 'missing link' since the observations were noted.
Monkeys seem to be a totally different proposition than the apes. Monkeys still have their prehensile tails, with which they are able to 'hang' up in trees and use as a fifth limb. Although we have a vestigal tail (the coccyx) there is no evidence to show that this was at any time in our history a prehensile limb. Most evidence suggests it was a tail similar to that of a horse or dog, and quite possibly used to swish away insect pests and so on.
Our way of life developed in ways that rendered the tail unnecessary and Darwins evolutionary (and revolutionary!) theory seems to have been borne out by the reduction in our 'tail', by our walking upright and needed less hair, our growing taller with longer legs (to be able to see greater distances over undergrowth etc.) and a thousand other things that render us different from the apes we resemble.
It is true, for example, that monkeys and apes develop faster than human babies at birth and are born with greater motive ability and senses. We grow slower, have less physical strength and almost totally undeveloped reasoning power...that comes with time and education (physical stimulus and theoretical)
But Darwin did not ever suggest that we 'came from' monkeys (or apes), merely that we MAY have had that common ancestor.
Recent discoveries in China may, at last, have given creedance to the 'missing link' between apes and us (Yahoo News a few weeks ago) so the lineage may become clearer after the scientists and anthropologists have finished their studies.
Cheers,
BobSpain

Darwin's theory does not say man is born from monkeys. Evolution says man and other apes have a common ancestor but branched out in different directions. I do believe it is true, both because I have actually studied anthropology and evolution and because I can see the common features of man and gorilla, and chimpanzees. Go to the zoo and check out an exhibit. We have similar hands, actions. Apes are the only other animal that have shown that they might have culture. And gorillas can learn sign language, what other animal can we really communicate with? And our DNA is closer to a chimps than a horses is to a zebra.

You can believe whatever you want to, but before you actually tell us that you don't believe Darwin's theory you might want to find out what it REALLY says or it will make you look like you don't know what you are talking about. And in case you haven't heard, we aren't monkeys - we are biologically classified (Linnaeus classification system) as "apes" because monkeys have prehensile tails and we don't. Evolution ONLY states that we may have come from a common ancestor. That said, it is not a requirement of the human race to believe in evolution, because evolution is getting along just fine without your belief in it.

Well, I recommend you read more on what Darwin did propose. He simply stated that genetic frequencies of a population gradually change over time. Since then, scientists have used many pieces of evidence to extrapolate that homo sapiens might share a common ancestor with monkeys. If people understood the theory of evolution they would see that its logic is soundproof because it holds only the slightest of assumptions: genes exist, populations exist over periods of time, and genes are passed down over generations. So sad that it's misunderstood and then people discuss things that are far from the point.

Evolution is a certainty, without or with what Darwin wrote. fortuitously, Darwin did a remarkable job in beginning the ball rolling. God isn't a certainty, no rely what you think of. there is not any sturdy data for Jesus, God/Yahweh, Allah, Zeus, Thor, or any of the thousands of different gods that folk have worshipped. there is likewise extensive data that they are all merely myths, created to help soothe our worry of dying, and perpetuated by faith to subjugate the underclass into obedience. technology has shown that there is not any want for gods to describe the classic motives for a god -- beginning place of the universe, beginning place of existence, beginning place of species, beginning place of human beings, beginning place of morality. technology additionally shows us the psychological motives that folk believe in god(s). If a god like Yahweh or Allah existed there may well be specific data. No such data exists, subsequently those gods do no longer exist. Yahweh and Allah are additionally internally and externally incongruent, and subsequently can't logically exist. An all-powerful and omniscient god with loose will can no longer exist, because of the fact it might desire to no longer the two comprehend the destiny and alter it. An all-powerful and omnibenevolent god can no longer exist and permit the authentic horrors that happen to sentient beings. For extra data helping those claims, see the hyperlink.

I believe in evolution to a point look how germs evolve, feel man is evolving also. Why have we lost our tail but still have a tail bone. Look at the crease in peoples upper lip, and sometimes there is a crease in our nose, that is there so when we needed to enhance our sense of smell we would lick our upper lip like a dog. Also we no longer need our appendices so in some people they are born without it.

dude darwins theory is all about survival of the fitest "natural selection" only the well fitted organism will survive and reproduce." i know thats not exactly how it is said but thats the idea. and to answer you question NO i don't think we evolved from monkeys. although we match more than 90 percent of DNA.

i do not believe "men are born from monkeys." men are borne from women. humans are primates; we're animals--get over it.
there's no use for you asking questions here (among the scientific-minded) when you don't want to hear (or, personally i think you wouldn't understand) the answers.
