This will help you out..it's helped me out a lot. I used to only know standard tuning..but thanks to this, that has changed.

Put slightly heavier strings on it. If U have no outside tuning source, tune the 6th fret of the bass string to the A string instead of the 5th. It will now be a semitone(half tone) lower. now simply tune all the other string to that as normal. The whole guitar will now be a semi tone lower Eb -Ab-Db- Bb-eb
Hope this helps..

What you're describing is also a setup situation. The movement and intonation of your guitar have plenty to do with it staying in song. If you haven't had the movement and intonation setup I could enormously advise it. You might be a lot happier with how your awl performs and holds song. If you're when you consider that new tuners, get the style that lock. Schaler and Grover each make pleasant tuners. Good success and Play on!

You can buy an electronic tuner and tune the strings down a half step, or here is a link to tunning your guitar

It is worth your time. Good luck!

Just drop all the stings down a semi tone/ fret
or you can play with a capo11

I think you could try at least.
Differing gauge strigs will take you a long way.
