Well, Venezuela voted to give Chavez a dictatorship, so they're pretty much made their own bed. It took less than half a year, though, which is pretty fast for a revolt to start.

Yes he is, and what I'm really enjoying is the way that all the Democrats who thought he was cute when he insulted President Bush are squirming now thet they realize that they've been admiring another two-bit, tin-pot, 3rd world, garden variety dictator. The only Dem I recall criticising Chaves for his dispicable remarks was Charlie Rangel. maybe he's the only one with character.

I would like to see the full force of his people simply back him up into the Caribbean Ocean, give him a raft and tell him to go check out Castro's digs, if he can find them.

His own people? Would that be the arrogant, erstwhile ruling white minority of Venezuela which is still upset with Chavez for breaking their traditional monopoly on power? The vast majority of Venezuelans support Chavez as much as they despise U.S style democracy, which in truth, is nothing more than a greedy and unscrupulous oligarchy dominated by ruthlessly greedy corporate vultures and their unwitting allies among America's deranged population of rabid religious fanatics.

Simply put,the opponents of Chavez do not care one whit about the cause of democracy. All they desire is to topple his regime and replace it with another that is willing to restore their former hegemony over the unfortunate colored population of Venezuela that has been most mercilessly marginalized over the centuries. The fact they're willing to cosy up to your dirt-bag president to further their own selfish ends, in no way serves to transform them into genuine paragons of democracy.

Um, it's not America's democracy that he hates.

Think a little harder.

I also have no idea why you claim he wants to be like Hitler. Did he start killing Jews since the evening news?
