I love to color!!! I am a 23 year old woman, and I still buy coloring books, and color the crap out of them! Do you like it too? Am I weird?

You're only 23? I'm a 45 year old man, and a few days ago I got a new Spongebob coloring book.

Do I haul it out at work? Of course not. But creative pursuits are never, ever silly. I can be quite serious and business-like at work, but there's no harm in being goofy on my own time.

And even if some rude stranger answers your final question with some retort like, "Yes, you're VERY weird," why on Earth should you care about what that stranger thinks about you. I thank God daily that my parents taught me to be an independent thinker and not be preoccupied with what others think of me, and I try to inspire others to do the same.

I hope you're still coloring at 33 and 43 and 53 and 63 and 73 and 83 and 93. If it makes you happy and you're not flinging your crayons into people's eyes, you have no reason to care if anyone disapproves.

I can't recall who said this, but there's a great quotation that applies here:

"We don't stop playing because we grow older --
we grow older because we stop playing."

Keep marching to the beat of your own drummer -- and color his uniform bright red! :-)

No I don't think you're weird. It's therapeutic. I totally get it. Whenever I hang out with my friends kids, we either colour in colouring books or I draw outline pictures of angels, elephants, cats and houses, that's the limit to my repertoire, and we colour them in. Actually we keep exchanging the pictures so at the end of the day, all the pictures are the work of everybody

My favourite is drawing pictures in wax crayons, then painting over everything in watercolours. Mixed media - I love it! I guess that might me weird too in the eyes of some :-) I guess I only do this when I'm hanging out with my friends kids. When you work two jobs and are working to get a home based biz off the ground, I guess colouing time falls to the end of the list.

Well, It might not be weird for me, but I'm only 13 and love to color.... on the computer. But good old paper and crayons is good too.

No, you're not weird (Unless you consider yourself that way). That is just your nature.

No, you are not. I don't care for it myself, but I have run into others who do. Why don't you take a drawing class so you can make your own drawings, then experiment with both crayons and colored pencils, oh, and marker pens, too. I think you'll love it.

I wouldn't say it's weird but somewhat juvenile. Maybe you're just trying to bring out your artistic side. Maybe it's an indication you subconsciously love art and its aesthetics. Try to paint or take some art courses.

That's not weird at all, you are simply enjoying your artistic side, by using colors. Have fun!!
