hmm, did this little experiment just now, when I think life is bad, suddenly all the bad things which happened appear in my mind and I feel a little sad, and then when I switched mode to thinking life is good, suddenly my mind is flooded with the good things that happened recently too.

It's a pretty weird feeling switching from sad to happier and happier to sad just by the change of thought process.

Its more like the law of attitude. If you always think negatively, you are bound to see mostly negative and same for positive.

This reminded me of a story, i found it online again to share with you. you can use the same principle of positive and negative thinking in place of the good and anger in the story.

Two Wolves

Author Unknown

An old Indian Grandfather said to his grandson who came to him with anger at a friend who had done him an injustice.

Let me tell you a story. I too, at times, have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do. But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times." He continued.

"It is as if there are two wolves inside me; one is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way. He saves all his energy for the right fight.

But the other wolf, ahhh!

He is full of anger. The littlest thing will send him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing.

Sometimes it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit."

The boy looked intently into his Grandfather's eyes and asked, "Which one wins, Grandfather?"

The Grandfather smiled and quietly said, "The one I feed."

What this is, is a mind set. I said this only a few minutes ago to someone else. Happiness is not a lifestyle, or an achievement, it is a state of mind.

By your experiment, you proved the point that I was making. What your emotional state is, is entirely in your hands for the most part. However, there are certain afflictions such as bi-polar disorders, that have to be treated with medications. These are really not emotional states, the emotional condition is just a symptom of a chemical imbalance that must be treated.

As a general rule however, most of us are in control of our own emotional state, and we can decide if we are going to be happy or miserable, irregardless of what events are taking place around us. All you have to do is make up your mind that you are not going to be miserable, and focus on what it is about your life that makes you happy.

1why do some people repeatedly say "get a life" to others? Because they need to get a life. 2)how often do you say it? 2 times a day. 3)why do you say it? Because the person needs to get a life. 4)does that like make you feel any better or you just say it? Nothing really. The person just needs to get a life. 5) do you think its right to say that? Yes. They need to get a life. 6) do you think we have the right to tell someone "get a life"? Yes, they need to get a life.

I think it is simply the power of the mind and thought processes. I look back to a time when I was younger and lived paycheck to paycheck...however, I don't remember it being a bad time. Hard sometimes, but not bad. So far, everything I have gone through in life has had a somewhat positive outcome...even the traumatic experiences. I guess that's what makes us who we are.

If i were to think that life is bad, then i would get all depressed and start thinking of what i DO NOT have.
Everyone goes through a bad time here and there. But those are the times that make the good so much better.

You're right! I know that life is what we make of it and I always try to delete the "Life is bad" thought, so that I can hear loud and clear the "Life is good" thought.
It's just like the glass thing, when you pore water in half of it and you can say "it's half full" or "half empty". Here's a trick : if it's soooo hard to say it's half full, pore a little bit more water in the glass and ...there you go. :)) Think positive, guys, as much as you can! Life is what we make of it!

Whenever I go through a rough patch I have a little saying that I say to myself from time to time. You know that saying "All good things must come to an end"? Well I remind mysef that "all bad things must come to an end." If you're feeling blue, it helps to remind yourself that the depressing things you're going through will be over in time and life WILL get better.

It's like something I read in a book once, it said that when you experience a change of perspective in life, it doesn't mean that the world has changed, but that you are seeing things with different eyes, the emphasis is elsewhere.

hmmmm.........this is natural , everybody will feel this because life consists of ''Good times '' & ''Bad Times'' , i have already told you that we should accept these times as a part of life because there's a purpose to life's events to teach us to how to laugh more or not to cry too hard because every tear we are crying inside is drowning our heart.................!!

We all know that we have ''Good Times'' to teach us to smile & love from the heart ..........they are amazing !!

But you may ask what will ''Bad Times'' teach us ??
Your answer is here Friend :

"Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn."

"Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a difference."

ahh.....Memories are memories , amazing , they make us feel nostalgic !!

Enjoy ur life my Friend & Always keep Smiling :)
