God made your skin the way he knew was best. He didn't create your skin so you can cover it with a bunch of garbage. I wouldn't exactly say it is vandalism....

Vandalism implies that the material in question did not belong to the vandal. So it is not vandalism, but it is defacing.

No- Someone who gets a tattoo wants it. Vandalism occurs when someone marks up something against the will (or law) of another.

A tattoo is not vandalism because vandalism is done to somebody without their consent.

No, I look at it as:

"your body is a temple...put some nice art on the walls!"

Tats are an individual thing...and everyone has a black or white or shades or grey opinion on them...

Just be careful with what you put on your body, it's a "forever" thing after all.

it all depends on what your religious beliefs are...some believe that it is defacing the Lord's temple...while others believe that there is nothing wrong with it...but that pretty little butterfly you have tattooed on your lower back will one day look like a tarodactyl with a broken wing as you walk with your cane...

Yes...I have never heard it put that way but I like that term. It is just dirty, permanent and gross especially when you are like 60+. I don't know what the infatuation is but I think they are insane.

But like the last person said...it is freedom of choice or expression.

I guess it depends on if you believe it's "your" own body or not. Some religions say our bodies are the Temple of God, and to take care of it. Really, it depends on your religion, and your OWN views. Don't worry about what other people think.
