I got back from vaction and they are split up and rumors were flying. So I asked her about the rumors she is p----d !!! Name calling is her come back and digging bad things from my past that were ok b-4 but unexceptable now. I hope the rumors are false but the friendship is gone

She has probably heard the rumors too, and whether or not they are true or not it probably really upset her when her own friend asked her if they were true (considering they were rumors-people never get things right). The only way she can make you feel the way she is feeling right now is by calling you names and bringing up the past. The best thing to do is try to talk to her and apologize, and let her know that you will be there for her no matter what. (She will probably apologize too.) She is just feeling really hurt right now and feels like no one is on her side.

well i would say its probley how you approched her with it did you say hey these rumors are flying and i thought i would ask you to get it straite from your mouth instead of listening to the rumors , or did you just go up and say hey i heard you were cheating on my friend and i want to know the truth

I'm not sure why she got so upset by you asking her? Either something is missing from your story, or she's probably cheating and got extremely defensive.
