so what are you trying to get to and are ther any ( ). because from what i can tell there are many different ways to read this problem.

4b+5d-c all over a
4b +((5d-c) /a)
4b+5d-(c/a)

To add or subtract fractions, everything needs to have the same denominator, so we'll multiply 4b and 5d by (a/a) which is legal because (a/a) = 1.

4b+5d-c/a
(a/a)*4b + (a/a)*5d-c/a

4ab/a + 5ad/a - c/a

Now we can group terms.

(4ab + 5ad - c) / a

It may be that you mean:-
(4b + 5d - c) / a
Everything on top line has to be divided by a:-
4b/a + 5d/a - c/a
