Most states require you to have 150 hours before you can take the CPA exam, plus you need to have a bachelor's degree. It has become pretty standard for accountants to have a bachelor's and master's degree. However, many choose to get a double major instead.

More advanced classes - specialized classes (try googling or visiting your universities college of business section of their website). Also, many (if not all?) graduate programs for accounting can go towards work-experience/hours for sitting for the CPA exam. Good luck.
