So you think life is for dummies, solve the puzzle and die.
Keep thinking, something better is bound to get your attention.
Do I think we are immortal? I think we are a combination of non-physical and physical, intra-dimensional beings, the non-physical part being eternal.

Many have figured IT out, then we are at peace and look busy.
A man standing on the shore line could be in deep thought or could be in a drunken stupor, put a fishing pole in his hand and the perspective changes.
We are here this moment, lets not screw it up for any that may follow.

If you mean humans in general, we are still alive b/c we have biological imperatives to procreate. And we are good at it.

We are not immortal.

By your logic a person who dies finally figured out he or she is immortal and thus takes a step in to eternity.

Reason alone does not work , but in tandem with urge .

Urge to get recycled is more than urge to stay in one form , may be.

Maybe. It is a tough question to answer, maybe some of us die at old age just because we have ben good to our lord.
