Word for word this is what some 20 year old wrote to me on youtube: "Some Kind of Fool. I don't understand you. It takes some kind of idiot not to notice the blatant stereotyping of african americans. Shame on you and don't bother responding. I just wanted to let you know you are a dolt, imbicile, immature, stupid, ignorant, witch."
I've never made a racist remark nor have I seen this guy before. What in the world is this?

I'm assuming he saw a comment I made to this video about a "racist" Bugs Bunny episode (the actual title does have quotation marks on the word) and I just said I've seen the episode before. Am I racist for not commenting on the clip being racist? He messaged me and it seemed so hateful and random.

The internet seems to be a way of people taking out their frustrations on others. It happens to Me quite frequently here on yahoo answers. What people don't understand, words hurt, whether spoken or typed. I come on here to help, and to learn, the last thing anyone needs is to be condemned for their opinion. We don't have to agree with each other, but we can be nice. Sounds like this person was way out of line, and I am sorry you had to take the brunt of his bad day. I know it might seem silly, but take the time to say something nice to someone else, and the hurt of what he said, will start to go away. It feels good to say or do something nice for someone else, you get a better feeling for yourself, and you help to make someone elses day. You know that you are not a dolt, imbicile, immature etc, so don't give his insults any weight, you deserve better!!

Was it in response to a video you posted with some kind of racial humor or something? How can anybody know unless you state the context? If it was in response to absolutely nothing, who knows what that fool was thinking.

It's possible that this moron sent the message to the wrong address - or maybe he really has nothing better to do other than upsetting a total stranger.
As soon as they put "don't bother responding" - the best thing you can do is to actually respond. Just don't sink down to their level unless you want to start a flame war...

It's hard to tell without knowing what he was reacting to. Could be, he just took something you said or did out of context. You should give us a link to what you posted on YouTube, that would help us out.

I would just ignore it, you can't please everyone. Anyone who would become so upset over something on youtube is obviously spending too much time on the internet. Besides, like you said, you don't this person, so what does it matter?
