yea because its only addition so the parenthesis mean nothing

PEMDAS
Parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction. This the the rule for the order in which you do math problems.

5+(6+7) = 5+(7+6)
first you add the numbers in parenthesis

5+(13) = 5+(13)
simplify:

18=18
There is no need to go further than that. The equations equal each other.
