A cockroach can live for two weeks even though its head has been separated from the rest of its body.
This is a commonly printed fact in those 'amazing facts' kind of books. A cockroach can live without its head for two weeks eventually dying of starvation. I don't know how its possible though as the cockroach's central nervous system will be lost.

ooooo, there's too many! Like...uh...slugs have about 27,000 teeth, and uh...barn owls can hear a mouse's heartbeat 20 paces away, and uh...snakes can only hear low noises but sense body heat...birds breathe through a small tube in heir tongue...woodpeckers have an ear on the end of their tongues...kestrels see ultraviolet...eagles have telescopic, monoscopic, binocular and microscopic vision that's 8 times better than ours...sparrowhawks find TV boring because it moves to jerky for them (they see more frames per second than we do)...if a rat sees an ill rat and smells poison on its lips, it won't eat that poison...if a rat eats something that makes it ill, it won't ever eat it again...it is completely unknown why humans are so incredibly stupid and yet think themselves so incredibly clever...

Sorry, there are too many!
