An airport will be built on a rectangular plot of land. If the length is to be 3 km longer than its width, and the area of the airport is to be 25 km, what will be the width and length?

is this correctL w^2 + 3w + -25 = 0
which is w equals the width of the airport.

let width = W km
so length = L = (W + 3) km
W.(W + 3) = 25
W² + 3W - 25 = 0
W = [- 3 ± √109] / 2
W = 3.72 km
L = 6.72 km
