NOPE, I've seen too many scary movies!!!

I would just call the police, give them his location, and have them check on him. That way I know someone will see if he is OK. Maybe the cops will drive him home... That would be the most safe, guilt-free thing to do!!!

Actually yes I would and I have. I was driving at night and an old man of about seventy and his daughter were walking in a bad neighborhood around eight o'clock at night. As I was driving by the man lost his footing and slipped, but he didn't hurt himself. They flagged me down and asked for a ride about six blocks down. I couldn't turn him down, because I could tell he was really having a hard time. I know its dangerous, but I couldn't' in good conscience make the poor man walk the rest of the way. The man and the daughter were very grateful and appreciative. I would not have done the same thing if it was a young, able bodied person.

I just watched that movie, The Hitchhiker and it was SCARY!!! I wouldn't pick up anyone unless I had a car full of men with me. My parents once picked up a young couple that were hitching. They let them sit in the back of the pickup in the canopy. It was raining and they (my parents) were going on a picnic in the mountains. When they let the couple out at their destination, they later discovered that they had ate their picnic lunch, but they didn't care...I'm sure the young couple needed it more than they did.

NO< NO< NO>please don't pick up the old man in the rain or at any other opportunity. Old men come out of jail just as often as young men. And they could have been in jail for murder, etc. Never pick up any hitchhiker. You could regret it forever. Then again, if they kill you, you'll never have the chance to even feel again.

Women should never, ever pick up people. Male or female.
Guns, knives, ropes, you name it. Keep smart and out of potentially dangerous situations.

No.

The "Old Man" could be in disguise.

The "Old Man" could be a deception. All the more reason someone may pick him up.

Stay away from Hitch Hikers, Woman can be just as bad.

well if he was a really old frail man I would because I know I could fight him off if I had to. If I was alone with me kids in the car, I wouldn't for sure.
