If I have a phone number, is there any way I can find out who it's registered to? It's a cell phone, I believe.

I use the whitepages website, but like the other member said, it usually will not display who the cell phone number belongs to. But it will pretty much confirm whether or not it is a cell phone # or a land line.

If this is "critical" for you to find out, go to a pay phone, dial the number. You can probably find out without revealing yourself. :-)

Call the number and when they answer ask; "Who be at this number"?
I have had people do this as my number once belonged to someone else. Once it was sad; This man was trying to locate his son and just ask; "Who is this"? We talked for a few minutes and he say he trying to find his son. It hurt my heart, but, I tell him I was sorry, I guess he had the number before me. He ask if I find more information from having the number let him know. I still have his number, but, no new information. I have had the number now for 3 years and those calls stopped about 2 years ago.

You can access one of the reverse phone number web sites. some of them cost $9.95, but if you really want the info they will give it to you. You can also phone it and see if you recognize the voice, or simply google the number and see what comes up.

I think you will have to call the number and ask who you have reached and if they don't tell you. then don't worry about it
