yes there is actually but it may depend on where you live. what you do is call the courthouse where you live and ask someone there to direct you who to talk to about your divorce matter, and they will give you some phone numbers of places who help people who have no money. its not a big deal reallie they should help you they help me pay for it here where i live, and the town i live in is not very big and they have help so im sure they have help for you to. the lawyers who take your case and pay for it is called legal aid thats what there gonna be called. so goodluck and godbless

Well, go get a job so you will have some money. A divorce isn't expensive if you both agree to the divorce. When it gets expensive is when no one can agree on how to divide the property.

Have them go to a legal aid office and talk with them. They should be able to help them file without any problems. They can help them file and get a divorce without costing them anything or at costing very little.

I know where I live in AZ you can go to the courthouse get the paperwork and ask for a fee waiver. You just need to talk to the Clerk of Court at the Courthouse when filing your papers. I am in the same situation!!!!! Good Luck and Best Wishes on a new beginning.

Uncontested divorces are available in packets from your local court house..minimum cost of about $100. Can't afford that, seek a lawyer referal service for one that does pro-bono work...meaning for free.

There are several online services that offer cheap divorces and many local community counsels offer free legal advice and guidance.

Look on internet. You can also file papers yourself at the courthouse. If lack of money keeps you away from filing and keeps you in a bad situation please talk to family or freinds and try to get out. It is better to be poor and happy then to come home and be misrable. Good Luck...

I found a lawyer that let me make payments -- or, see if their is legal aid in your area -- (free lawyer) -- Or- have her talk to a lawyer and see if he would take the case- and have them fight for the Ex to pay the legal fees.
otherwise- if they agree on everything- an uncontested divorce is fairly cheap.........OR---- in my case -- if she takes care of the checkbook -- start pocketing money away...
