Sometimes this does happen -- often a woman will have bleeding during pregnancy, but less regularly than her period and more like 'spotting' than a full flow of blood. Other times, women continue to have normal periods and they don't know they're pregnant until a bump appears! However, this is certainly the exception rather than the rule. Your wife's cycles might be changing, as many people's do, so that she isn't actually 'late' each month, but simply that her cycles are now longer than they used to be. I think all women notice changes to their cycles over the years and this is perfectly normal.

Not usually, but it can happen for the first couple of months. Normally, women stop their periods when they get pregnant.

No, not while pregnant. However, it is possible to experience spotting during what would be your normal menstrual cycle. If it is ever more than just spotting then you need to see your OBGYN. You could also experience spotting after sex while pregnant due to a soft and sensitive cervix.

The answer is no.
If you are pregnant and begin bleeding, it is something to see your Dr. for immediately.
Bleeding can be a sign you are losing the baby, or that your own health is in danger.
There should be no bleeding until after the baby is born.

I don't think so... because your body has to use all the nutrients it can have in order to make the baby...
