If heat moves from warmer places to cooler places, then how can an animal lose body heat when its environment is warmer than its body?

mmhh... u sure it does lose heat?
it could if there was, for example, air movement. Air would help the evaporation of the sweat from the animal and the energy required would be taken from the animals body, cooling it down.

If your body temperature was 98 degrees and you passed a breeze of 100 degrees over it,it would heat up.
Evaporation of body sweat would reduce the temperature to a certain degree but the hot air would already contain a lot of moisture.
