g(t)=2t^3+11t^2-63t

g(t) = t(2t^2 + 11t -63)

g(t) = t(2t - 7)(t + 9)..... now set this equal to "0"

t = 0

2t - 7 = 0 ....therefore t = 7/2

t + 9 = 0 .... therefore t = -9

t= 0, 7/2 and -9

g(t)=t(2t^2+11t-63)
g(t)=t(2t-7)(t+9)
if g(t) = 0
then t = 0 or t = -9 or t = 3.5

well first i made your problem look easier by changing it to familiar terms:

Y= 2x^3+11x^2-63x

the first thing i noticed was that there was a common term in each and every one of them so i divided by x coz it is the biggest common factor. when divided it comes out:

x(2x^2+11x-63)
you always have to put your answer in a bracket and the divisor outside to make it look easy

from here you factor. its really hard to explain here coz you are working backwards. you are trying to find what numbers when multiplied will give you the answer in the bracket. in this case it is (x+9) and (2x-7)
your zeros now are 0 (x=0, divide both sides by x and as you know that any number divided by zero is zero)
x+9=0(find like terms so, in this case you will subtract 9 and now your zero is -9 because zero minus 9 is negative nine
2x-7=0(add seven from both sides you get 2x=7. divide by 2 to get x so now x=7/2

your zeros are: 0, -9, 7/2

in the future when trying to find a zero like for example given (x-3) as one of the multiples then your zero is 3
x-3=0, add 3 to both sides and x =3

x+5 the zero would be -5
x+5=0 subtract and x is negative five

always equal the multiple to zero

hope i made sense :)

2t^3+11t^2-63t=0

t(2t^2+11t-63)=0

t(2t-7)(t+9)=0

t=0; 7/2;-9
