In general, you go to the mainboard maker's website, look up the mainboard's info, and read the "CPU compatibility list".

In general, as long as the interface socket match, there should be no problem in compatibility.

Look at the specs of the motherboard for the socket type, then look at the specs of the processor for the socket type and see if they match up. Some of the more common sockets are AM2, and 939 for AMD, and 775 for Intel.

You look for the socket type. Pentium 4 processors are LGA 775, so that motherboard is compatible.

you have to match the sockets on the mobo and processor, that mobo is compatible with ur processor
