Well it can get tricky. My needs motivate me more, when it comes right down to it, but I've come to find that my wants are somewhat in line with my needs as far as emotionally and mentally, so it's a little bit of both most of the time :)

This is dependent entirely upon the situation. In many cases, I follow my wants much more often than my needs. For example, I eat chocolate cake much more often than I should. I spend more time on Y!A than I should. I don't think I'd exactly call those needs.
However, when it comes to extremely essential things like paying bills, getting gas, showering, getting dressed, etc. my needs are a significant impact upon my motivation.
Nevertheless, I digress...
I believe as though both my wants and my needs are equal to my motivation. Otherwise, I would be a lopsided plane. :) I have to be careful, though, and make sure I don't waste too much time on my wants, because sometimes those do get the upper hand.

Ok this is tricky. People that know me know I want to believe that I have a certain strength that prevents me from "needing" most anything. But people that know me know I am fooling myself by believing this as well. I guess its just that in my position I never ever want to appear "needy." But sure.... yes, I have needs. We all have needs for survival. Right? We all have needs for happiness....... health...... safety.... security. I have a need to provide for my children. And that takes strength.
And I suppose when I look at the other side... "Wants".... it sounds so greedy. I want this...... I want that...... I want the other thing..... I want it all!! Ugh.... It all sounds so selfish. I suppose in my head I think of wants as almost demands one makes. And I just can't make demands.
I'm not needy..... I pray I don't come across as greedy. I don't want to ever be weak....... but I will never resort to being overly aggressive.
So I have to say that I'm motivated more by my passions. My children are my passion. Watching them grow and change and become miniature people that understand life and why things happen and how the world can be so simple if they just are aware of others. My job is my passion....... to do the best I can do so that these kids can grow up communicating clearly to the world what THEIR own passions are! My friends are my passions. To make sure they are happy and content and that their needs are met...... that what they want is given to them because of their "need" for it.
Desires... passions..... wants...... needs. They are all so similar to most people. But each implies something just a bit differently. Personally, I'm motivated so much more by desires and passions than wants or needs. In other words...... I'm driven by the things that make me..... feel.

Wants.
I'm a person who goes for the things I desire, not the necessities.
I'd take Orlando Bloom over water.
