It does happen to us all at one time or another. I've wondered if there was something I had done or didn't do that led them to this.
Finally, I decided the very next time it occurred, I was going to blatantly ask them, what was their problem? I was pretty sure I didn't have a problem, but there is always the possibility one can do something unknowingly and not know it....

As it turned out, the next person who did it had had a death in the family and their mind wasn't really on pleasantries, which I do understand.

So there are reasons...but most likely nothing to do with you.

It depends, I walk a lot everyday. Some people are too busy in thought to wave and others are friendly. I wouldn't judge anyone unless they are really close friends. Then it is kind of rude and selfish.

They are probably wondering why YOU didn't say hi to them.

If I know someone or have met them even once, I will always say hello. It doesn't hurt to acknowledge someone and it makes ME feel good.
I guess I do it on entirely selfish reasons, but who cares.

Depends on the person. It it were one of my best friends I'd break down in tears, wondering what I did wrong. If it were someone I knew but didn't particullary care for I'd just blow it off. If it was someone that I liked and we were friends. I would be upset and would be wondering what was going on. If it were a guy that I'd been talking to and he started ignoring me I'd be pissed.

It makes me feel kind of bad, but I figure maybe they're just having a bad day or are really busy or something.

It feels awful. I wonder why they didn't say "hello"...and if I did something wrong for them to shun me like that.

If they're being that way, I'd rather not talk to them either. Whether they are being rude, stuck up, or grouchy, it's not worth stressing about I think.

Horrible. It makes you wonder what you have done even though it wasn't you at all. It was just that so called "Friend" just being a jerk.
