2 reasons ...

1. ur cartridge is low or nossle blocked.

2. ur carriage block has to be cleaned on the down side, and also the service unit which cleans the nozzle of the cartridge.

Best of luck .

1.Open HP Director, then click Settings, Print Settings, then Printer Settings.

2.The printer Properties dialog box opens. Click the Paper/Quality tab and make sure Best is selected in the Print Quality area.

3.Open HP Director, then click Settings, Print Settings, and then click Printer Toolbox.

4.The Printer Toolbox opens. Click the Estimate of Ink Level tab. A cartridge may be running out of ink even if the graphic shows ink remaining. Lines or streaks always appear in printouts when the cartridges begin to run out of ink

If you put your printer model it would be very helpful to solve your problem.
Anyway, there are lines even after replacing the cartridge, it means your print head should be thoroughly cleaned. I think your print cartridges don't have print heads, they are just ink tanks. Recent EPSON, CANON printer models have print heads inside the printer, while Lexmark, most HP inkjet printers have print heads within their cartridges.
I recommend you to bring the printer to a service, because if you have no result after many tries, trying again and again is just waste of ink and your precious time.

Make sure the cartridges are clean. There is usually a cleaning routine within the printer properties. Check the manufacture web site for further troubleshooting.
