I am a 25 year old student, currently living (rent-free, but doing odd jobs around the house) with my parents. After a recent blow-up with my dad, he told me to get out. I have nowhere to go, no money, no job, just finished a full-time semester in college, and I want to know if he can legally throw me out of my primary place of residence with no prior notice

At 25, you are no longer a minor, so they are not required to provide you a place to live. Since you have no lease with them, and it is their private property, they have the right to prevent you (or anyone else they choose) from entering their property.

If you had a lease, they would be required to go through an eviction process, but since they were letting you stay there basically as their guest, you are out of luck.

Yes, he can toss you to the street without notice, since you are not a legal tenant. In order to be a contractual tenant, both of you must have agreed to a contract for you to occupy the residence. It does not appear that this exists.

Swallow hard and make up with your dad, or start looking for alternative sources of housing.

He is your father but if you want to go the legal route I think he would have to give you thiry days and maybe even take you to court. Is it worth destroting your relationship forever. That is the question you have to ask. If you are 25 student or not why are you not working and paying your own way. I am 52 have my own apartment, bills, work fulltime and am also a fulltime student. There are ways to do it all if you want to. Parents do not have to support you after you reach 18 so you have had 7 years of their good graces. Talk to him and ask if he really wants you ob the street with nothing I think the answer would be no unless he caught youo doing something he opposes like drugs. The be thankful he did not have you arrested. Talk to him.

you in all probability nevertheless have a lease, it is in all probability the unique lease and after it somewhat is a million twelve months term rolled into month to month. i'm not sure yet once you had a lease in some unspecified time sooner or later i don't see any sensible landlord basically figuring out to 'bypass' on a lease. So despite became into in the lease could be the good carry if it does bypass to courtroom and you as tenants can not basically settle on what you desire to pay for utilities, inspite of the incontrovertible fact which you will have had to purchase the heater, and not using a reciept and a written contract along with her-you haven't any grounds to short her. particularly of not paying, you're able to desire to have talked to her approximately it first. she will take you to courtroom, she will evict you, and he or she will in all probability win. good good fortune!

Typically, no, he can not throw you out in the streets. If you have established residency there then he must provide 60 days notice in order for you to find suitable housing. Regardless of the fact you do not pay rent..the law is the law.

Well, legally, he can do that. You are not bonded by a contract so you become a "guest". And therefore, he can ask you to leave whenever he wants. Sorry.
