If anybody works at a Best Buy in New Jersey, I would like to know how much they pay you. Including raises and the different job types. I am looking for something like a sales representative, or like one of those guys that people ask questions for computers. Or even Geek Squad, I am good with computer repairs, spyware/virus removal and all that. I am not A+ certified or anything like that, nor can I prove that I have had any expeirence. Do you think they would promote someone to work at Geek Squad (Double Agent) when they see that you understand pc's very well while working at the store.
More importantly how much can I expect to earn from working there now. I am 17 years old. I do many repairs, but only private jobs. I am looking to get a stable job.

The best way to find out the answers to your questions is to go in to the store, fill out an employment application, and talk to them. Most companies believe in promotion from within, so if you want to work on their Geek Squad, and they don't hire you for that right off the bat, then take a sales job if they offer it, with the understanding that after a specified period of time (six months or a year) they will promote you if you're doing well.
