Zoellick's religion and ethnic group don't matter. His ideology and management styles do. He's another neoconservative, like Wolfowitz. Neocons believe the US should exert a "benign hegemony" over the world and that the military should be the principal instrument of US foreign policy. Overthrowing Saddam and occupying Iraq were the raison d'etre for a group called the PNAC of which both Wolfowitch and Zoellick were charter members. Wolfowitz' role as an achitect of the Iraq war alienated the international membership of the World Bank from the beginning. Zoellick also played a role in the Iraq war planning as an Assistant US Secretary of State, so he's off to the same great start.

Wolfowitz distinguished himself at the World Bank with his arrrogant and heavyhanded directives and his insistence on "eliminating corruption" as he used his position to advance the career of his mistress. The neoconservative attitude of US privilege and domination does not mix with the World Bank mission of international cooperation to aid in the development of struggling, third world economies. The new appointee promises more of the same. "People close to Mr. Zoellick say that based on his record in past economic and diplomatic jobs, he is likely to bring a demanding approach that could disturb the status quo... Mr. Zoellick signaled that he would retain and build on the anticorruption policies of the departing president, Paul D. Wolfowitz"

If the Jews are so powerful, why do they live in the desert surrounded by enemies with no natural barriers to cross? Why are they not instead on a nice island in the Carribean sipping good wine listening to good music in their mansions defended by the ocean. I would think a group that supposedly "controls the world" would be smarter than that!!!!
