Or do I need to stick to simply being pro-peace?

I'm anti-zionism, anti-war, pro-judaism, pro-islam, anti-terrorist, pro-palestinian, anti-occupation and... thoroughly confused.

I am not anti-semitic.

I guess my question is how can I be open with my jewish friends about my disgust for the occupation and what israel represents without them feeling that I judge them negatively.

Or should I just avoid talking middle east politics with jewish friends?

Peace.

I understand your confusion, because, I too, am "anti" and "pro" the things you've mentioned. With my Jewish friends, except the one who likes to argue and play devil's advocate, I usually don't get into discussions about the State of Israel or the fate of the Palestinians. Maybe this is cowardly of me, but I don't want to hurt feelings, nor do I really like to argue politics with friends. (Just on YA!--haha)

I think most reasonable people would understand your position. If, however, your Jewish friends are very passionate about these issues it is probably not a good idea to bring it up. If you think they would be willing to engage in an open discussing go ahead but be careful. If you are really worried about offending them, just keep quiet. If they ask your opinion feel free to be honest, just do not initiate the conversation.
