I love reading both. I also like biographies and sci-fiction. What I really love to read is books about fantasy, you know where you're mind is taken away and you can forget the problems of the world, soar with a pheonix and or battle a dragon or two, take a stick say some foolish words and watch someone turn into a toad.

I try to balance it out by checking out both non-fiction and fiction. However, I find I'm just skimming through the non-fiction, or if I try to read it more thoroughly I'm falling asleep. However, with the fictional stories I can get really absorbed in it, and it's much more enjoyable to me. My favorite kind of fiction is fantasy and science fiction, but truthfully I can read almost any kind of fiction and find it interesting.

I like both fiction and non-fiction, because with fiction, it shows the creativity of the author. Non-fiction teaches a lot about anything. I also like mystery, because it keeps me sucked into the book. I have to admit that I like some romance stories.....I don't know why, they're just interesting and keep my attention.

I prefer fiction because you can get engrossed in the story if you choose, kind of be a part of it. I do read both though, just finished Blood Brother by Scott Peterson's sister Anne. Interesting.

Remember this little gem?

lol here's a story for you!

I have alreadys enjoyed reading fantasy tales (wizards, elves etc), horror, and true crime as it's something i can lose myself into.

i've always thought romance books were dumb and dull.

Then my boss pressured me into reading a romance by Julie Garwood and I am now utterly addicted. Her romances are very very humurous with good sex scenes (not all pathetic and embarrassing). I love reading her work because when i start the book, i can't put it down till i've read the lot.

the only downfall of Julie Garwood is when i am reading when there are other people near by (visitors, people in the park etc) because she makes me laugh real loud and fast! It's embarrassing!

and now my whole family teases me for always being such a b*tch about romance novels, and now i'm hooked!
lol

ha ha ha couldn't resist, sorry! yes i have bough lord of the rings and it is in my "to read" pile on my bedside table. I've got 3 books to get through before i get there. i'll let you know when i start it so you can find a Romance novel to read! lol

When relaxing I enjoy fiction. I like the escape. In my job I deal with reality on a daily basis, and it is very emotionally draining to say the least. I am inundated with information in my school work so to relax I like to use my imagination.
