All I can hear is my husband's snoring. It's not spooky or cool. It's just annoying. Perhaps I should put him out at night with the other outdoor critters. BTW, I saw a great horned owl at the local state park. It was the first I had ever seen in the wild. They're awesome.

Yes we got them coyotes out here. My big doggie used to bark at them, but now she howls right along, and even does it before they come around.
Also I live on a military base and theres a big feild on the next block near our house of undeveloped base housing which is where the coyotes come to call. My question is, do the cyotes have some secret entrance that gets them through the
military fencing and onto the base, or do they have their own military clearance cards and just check in at the visitors gate?
Maybe i should ask my dog, she seems to understand the language.

I used to have a barn owl that who sit on top of the telephone pole right outside my bedroom window and scare the crap out of me. You are the few lucky ones - my owl lost his natural habitat when a new subdivision was created out of his hunting ground and forced him to make a new nest elsewhere.

Actually, I have an owl that lives in one of the trees in our front yard. It's been living there for years. I love when he hoots.

I also have a flippin' cricket around this house somewhere. I can hear it, but of course, I can't find the darn thing!!

All the time! We have 18 acres in the middle of nowhere & I much prefer the "country" sounds to that of the city!!!

It's not spooky, but our neighbors have these frogs in their pond that sound like a duck quacking.
