Water costs more because there is less of it so water elctricity plants have to charge more

No..you can actually call up your electric company and most have special one rate fee's monthly for the summer so if you own your own home for example and your electric bill is 245.00 a month..you can choose a flat rate fee of 175.00 and so long as you stay within your limits that is your fee without going over. They usually only have these deals during the summer when you bill usually sky rockets

You must live in Illinois too. They said they were raising rates up to 45 % but would phase it in over 3 years. Didn't happen. Most people saw their bill double or even triple.

It's always too high. Like everything else, they probably use the excuse that the price of gas has gone up so they have to pass it on to the consumer. It's probably true, but don't you get so sick and tired of hearing that excuse?

its been high for the past year.this summer i dread it because my air will be running alot. so i will be paying a fortune.
