Try "Ex-lax" first..then if that doesn't work go to the ER. In most cases left side pain around where your left ovary is has to do more with your bowels than your female organs.

Last fall I skilled severe pains within the vicinity of my left ovary, and noticed (very unchararcteristic) just a little. I went to the gyno fearing an ectopic being pregnant, however via a vaginal ultrasound he found out that my uterus used to be flopped over to the left and had my left ovary pinned at the back of it. He did not have a proof instantly, however informed me if it persevered to go back for extra scan to check if the misplacement used to be induced via scarring from endometriosis (which I have in no way been identified with). I made up our minds that it could were induced via the truth that I regularly slept on my left facet, so because then I have made a aware attempt to sleep on my proper facet or my again (I honestly slept handiest on my proper facet for approximately a month, hoping to get that uterus again in line!). The discomfort is approximately ninety% greater now. I suppose I think it extra accutely whilst my left ovary ovulates vs. my proper, however the discomfort used to be very severe for a few weeks or so.

Ther are way too many organs in that region of the body to be able to pinpoint it as the ovary - its sounds more muscular due to the movement pain . You didn't give an age range - I would have to say err on the side of caution and get an ultrasound - after the usual urine and blood tests -for stoned / infection etc

Ovary pain could indicate an ovarian cyst. Most resolve themselves, however, I've personally learned that they can also be nasty and dangerous. The pain I experienced from my ovary was in my back which is where most ovarian pain is located. So, my suggestion is that you see your Doctor about it and especially if you are running a fever. It's better to be safe than sorry.
