Does it drive you absolutly crazy that some people seem like they can't live without being on their cellphone at a resturant, ballgame, or even when paying a cashier?? I think it's totally rediculous. Do you agree? Please, state your age if you don't mind.

Yup, I can't stand it. I'd really rather not be on my cell phone...ever. I only have it because it was given to me as a gift (I don't pay for it at all.....I know, I'm spoiled) after I had my daughter. I 9 out of 10 times will not even take it in somewhere with me, but rather, leave it in my vehicle.

[I'm almost 24]

It burns me to no end. I work in Retail, and it happens ALOT.

I sometimes cashier, and I'll usually stand there and wait until the customer gets off the phone before I ring their purchases up. Too many times I've started ringing up their items, and after they've paid, they'll come back and say an item was the wrong price or something like that. Now, if they were off that damn cell phone and paying attention, I could have fixed the problem then, but after the fact I send them to stand in the long line at the Return Counter. Serves them right.

I'm 28 and I think it's totally crazy! You see ppl all of the time on their phone and you know they could move through that grocery line alot quicker if they'd just hang up that darn phone and pay for their crap so i can get out and get home! What is really bad is when someone comes over to visit you and then stays on the phone the whole time. You have things you could be doing but can't because you "have company" but really you don't "have company" because they are talking to somebody else! Rediculous! I use my phone only when I NEED To talk to someone, (ex-if I'm at the store and my husband thinks of something we forgot to put on the list & he can let me know or if he's got the kids and something happens to one of them, he can call me!)

I agree. And seems like they always talk loud too...I think the most annoying for me is the cell phone talkers in the car who drive slow or don't go when the light is green b/c they're not paying attention.

I TOTALLY agree with you-& it seems mostly "teen-agers" & "kids" try to look "popular" & show off their cellphone! (I always wonder if their phone is even turned on or if they are pretending to use a cellphone!-I bet their phone is under mom & dads name! -I watched/listened to this 1 teen talk on a cell phone from the time she walked in a restaurant till she walked out!- (by the way, I'm 36.)

Yes, it's completely disrespectful as well as annoying. When I was a cashier at Walmart this man came down my line and I didn't speak to him cause he was on his cell phone just going on and on and on and I didn't want to interrupt him. I just checked him out and gave him his change. He grabbed it hatefully and said you have a good day too! I thought you are the one being rude. I didn't speak to him cause of him being on the cell phone and he made out like I was being rude. It made me so mad cause I would never have intentionally been rude to a customer. I'm 32.

Yes, I think it is annoying. I am 13 and I agree completely. There are too many people on cell phones and don't stop to enjoy life and pay attention to their surroundings. If you bump with that person and its actually their fault and you say sorry, please excuse me then some throw a fit.

I agree, there are times it is inappropriate to be on the cell, yet some people have no realization of this. 37
