AC/DC stands for alternating current/direct current. Angus and Malcom Young seen the name on the back of their sister's sewing machine when they were young and thought it sounded really cool. But you are pretty much right b/c some religions think it means Anti-Christ/Devil's Child(ren) or Anti-Christ/Devil Christ. Even though he was only one word off you were right. Along with that meaning AC/DC is also slang for gay. They came from Australia and they would always get gigs for gay bars and they didn't know why and then one day they asked someone and they told them that AC/DC was slang for gay, which they are not gay at all!! i hope i helped in some way.

Angus and Malcolm Young claim they developed the idea for the band's name after seeing the acronym "AC/DC" on the back of a sewing machine owned by their sister, Margaret. "AC/DC" is an abbreviation for "alternating current/direct current", which indicates that an electrical device can use either type of power. The brothers felt that this name symbolized the band's raw energy and power-driven performances, and the name stuck.

In some cultures, "AC/DC" is a slang term for bisexuality; the band have said that they were not aware of this usage until it was brought to their attention by a taxi driver one night after a concert early in their career. Some religious figures have suggested that the name stands for "Anti-Christ/Devil's Child(ren)", "Anti-Christ/Devil Christ", and so on. Although rumours have persisted among critics attempting to paint the band as Satanists, the band have denied these interpretations of their name, and have mocked them as being opportunistically-constructed backronyms.

"AC/DC" is pronounced one letter at a time, though the band is popularly known as "Acca Dacca" in Australia. The name has inspired tribute bands, including BC/DC from the Canadian province of British Columbia;[12] AC/DShe, an all-female group from San Francisco;[13] and Hayseed Dixie, an Appalachian band specialising in bluegrass covers.

Well, the story behind the selection of the name AC/DC goes like this...
when the band was formed in Australia in 1973 and on their first trip to America they were still looking for a permanent name...
they happened to be in a motel near the boardwalk in Atlantic City (ac) that one of the members called "dirt cheap" (dc) because they were just starting out and couldn't afford anything nicer...so they had the idea to combine the two acronyms and the name AC/DC was born.

It stand for alternating current/direct current, and refers to devices that can run on either, like a radio that can run on batteries (DC) or plug into the wall outlet (AC).

Focusing on the concept of having two modes of operation, the term was then applied as slang for bisexual people - people who are sexually attracted to both male and female partners. You're friend is probably very religious and highly judgmental of such people and therefore refers to them as devils and the like.
