He hasn't been going poop on schedule for the last couple of days, so I thought this may be the reason. His belly looks very full and bloated. I gave him a bath today and he did poop, but he still looks bloated and has two lumps on the side of his belly right in front of his left leg. I can't afford to take him to the vet right now. What could this be?

It could still be poop. Continue daily warm water soaks. A lot depends on what he ate. They need a fresh salad daily with vitamins. Does he have access to water bath all day? They drink a lot and need daily baths. Most won't poop unless in water. Are his temperatures correct? They need about 100F basking all day. And they will get very sick without a good UVB source on all day. Check out www.anapsid.org for complete Iggy care.

Since your iguana hasn't gone in awhile that could still be poop in there. I would give him another good soaking. Plus put a container in him enclosure that's big enough that he can climb into and soak himself. I had an iguana for over 13 yrs and that was the only place he ever went to the bathroom in... almost like a cat and a litter box. Just make sure you change the water frequently. It will also help in keeping the humidity up that they require.

I hate to ask this.. but are you 100% sure he's a he? Female iguanas can get egg bound. They are like chickens. They can produce eggs (unfertile) even without the presence of a male.

If you are not 100% sure of te sex of the iggy, you need to get to a vet asap. Egg binding can be fatal...

Good luck!

a common problem with reptiles is a certain specie of worms that create a cyst under the skin. there are some treatments for them. but most cases are met by demise. the worms are probably feeding off of the reptiles intestines (hence the lack of poop)
