I saw the people from a restaurant fastened a donkey to the barrier out of the gate. I don't think they feed the donkey cuz for 3-4 days, I've noticed they just leave him there without any attendance. This donkey is getting weak day after day, Yesterday I passed by after work, I saw he was trying to stand up, but failed to do it for the weakness. which made me really sad, I'd like to feed him today if he is still alive. But should I buy the special food or I can just use some carrots?

I'd call the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) in your area. Or, call the humane society to report the neglect of this animal.
You can go to the feed store and buy horse feed. It has molasses in it and the donkey would probably enjoy it. Alfalfa hay is also good for him. Make sure the donkey has plenty of water. It might not be that the owners are starving the animal, he could have parasites or some other illness.

Carrots work but you need to go to a feed store (petsmart might have some) to get proper feed/with proper nutrition. Hurry!! Thanks for what ur doing. Call the animal control on them...jail time and a great new home for the donkey!

Donkeys eat hay, grain grass. Carrots are good for them too. I would like to make one suggestion to you though. PLEASE CALL THE AUTHORITIES!! If the poor animal is with out food or water then it is being criminally neglected which is illegal. Please call the police and let them know whats going on so they can go out and help this poor creature.

Hay and horse feed from any feed store or tractor supply. Please call the Animal Control services in your area and report this. This is abuse!
