It's not loud enough though I have it turned up all the way. I've got a Dell Inspiron and have pressed the buttons on the front of the unit up as high as they will go.

I have it turned up in the tray at the bottom of the screen plus it's turned all the way up in the control panel 'audio devices' place. And it's still too soft to hear voices.

Start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control>Wave Setting. Increse it and the Volume should go higher.

Is there an analog volume control knob for the loudspeakers? If so turn it to max. Open control panel for MEDIA or SOUND SETUP. Click and drag the volume control higher. Make sure you turn it up for the selected source and for the system.

Look in your system tray ( bottom right) for circle that looks like a speaker.
If so there are the controls
It may not be there.
Next go to start > control panel > sound
the controls will be there.
Sorry i would like to be more precise but I have been hit by a spyware that after removing does not let me into my control panel
