K im 13 years old i haven't started my period yet and all my friends have. When i start im going to know nothing about it so can someone explain to me how long it happens? I have lots of discharge like clear and a couple dots of brown is that normal? i have bad cramps to so can someone let me in on the period stuff??

Sounds like you are getting close. The dots of brown are normal and so is the discharge. It is a signal that you are about to have your first period. At first you will probably start slowly with a little spotting and then gradually increase in volume. An average period last anywhere between 3-7 days. Young women usually experience a 7 day period. I'm sorry you get cramps. My only suggestion is to take Advil or Motrin at the first sign of cramps. A heating pat or hot water bottle helps too.

you're getting there, sweetie. cramps are normal, so is occasional headaches. a couple of pain relievers a day would help. some get backaches. others have pimple breakouts. for your discharge, wear a pantyliner. be sure to keep a good personal hygiene, wash before you go to bed. change underwear twice a day if you have a strong discharge. remember to relax . enjoy life.

Don't worry baby It is gonna be fine! Just put like a heating pad on your stomach or takes some pain reliever pills. The brown spots in you viginal charge might be that your period is coming soon.

i didnt get mine til i was a freshman n highschool...sounds like you will be getting it soon. if youre really worried see if your mom could take you to see a dr?
