Yes! My husband thinks it's hilarious. Every Valentine's day, I get a big box of chocolates and poke a hole in the bottom of every one. Sometimes they have a little chart to show you what they are, but I still want to see the inside before I decide to eat it. I don't really do it because some are icky, I do it to see which one suits my mood. I thought I was the only one who did that. LOL.

What kind of chocolate are you talking about? If it's plain ol' milk chocolate there's nothing icky about it. But if we're talking about See's Candy chocolates there are a few kinds I don't like so I take a look at the description inside the box to see what I'm about to eat.

"See's Candy" .... dark chocolate
I have never eaten a bad See's
the dark-choc ones with the thin white streaks laced across the top are dangerously good...
the reddish-insides are amazing
if only See's Dark Chocolates had the "orange-creme" filling as one of the flavors [life is soooo hard lololol]
But I never bite and put back ... even eat the nut-crunch things which aren't chocolate, but I'm willing to suffer in the cause of the greater good

Neither--I take a little bite off of the edge to see if what's in it is something I will like. Then I have a decision to make----should I throw it away, or put it back into the box?

There's no such thing as icky chocolates. There are just some that are 'better than other' chocolates :)

Always poke 'em....then I give them to my kids if it's something nasty. They love it. Cannot wait til I get a box of chocolates.

no, i look at the chart on the top of the box. but my friend and i way back when we were in highschool would poke our fingers in the pancakes we were making to see if they were done. ahh, those were the days
