Ok Enki to be honest most of the time I have an answer in my head but I like to see others and their views on the question I ask. I love that we all have different views and not everyone agrees :) I do not want everyone to agree with me I love different views and peoples experiences on a particular topic makes its fun & interesting and you learn from others as well. I think many people on here are very smart and I like to see what they have to say and what they have gone through in their lives :))))

Well I answer the questions I do because I find them interesting, meaningful or fun! I don't do it for the points.
So, when I ask a question, I am not always interested in a 'best' answer but simpley in what people have to say.
When we look at choosing best answer of course we are going to gravitate to what we are compatable to unless someone really comes up with an insite that clicks with us. That's perfectly all right! Either way is all right. I am not in it for the points. Though some days I think it is a fun idea and check it out how I am stacking up against the rest of the team so to speak. Really, I am here for the interaction with everyone else here. It has been very movong fpr me at times, silly and hilarious at others...sometimes a little boring...ooops...teeehehehehe! Mostly a valuable experience.
It's nice to be acknowledged in a good way. So, I acknowledge everyone here and whether I aggree with you or not...three cheers for us all!
Peace!

I don't post a lot of questions, but the ones that I do post are an honest attempt to find out something I don't know. I would also ask a question to get a wide range of opinion, and one I asked a question to try and notify this service that part of their system was broken. Sometimes it's fun to ask a question just to see if I will get an answer I don't expect, but I haven't tried that yet. I genuinely enjoy answering questions that interest me and often that's enough. The idea of asking a question just to get agreement repels me somehow. I always found agreement to be the end of the conversation.

My general observation has been that most people choose the answer with which they already agree. I can often tell by the wording of the question what answer the asker wants.
As for me, I post questions because I enjoy reading the debates, discussions, and angry rants that follow.
Y! A is like being in college, without the exams.
I either choose an answer that is well thought-out or one that is highly entertaining.

I am not stuck on a single reason for posting questions, although like the great majority I tend to not post many.
I have posted some where I am using it as a vehicle to get people's attention on a particular topic. That does not mean that I do not appreciate someone else's opinion. There is also a part of me that wants to pass on some experience in order to save someone else a lot of suffering, but maybe that is a mistake in itself. What do you think about that?

I almost always have an opinion or answer regarding the question prior to asking....I like to ask because I'm always intrigued at the responses and often find things that I hadn't thought of...It opens my mind to other ideas and points of view...and during the process I am able to think more on the subject, and it stimulates others to think as well, exchanging ideas...In a way it's an "open think session"....[Then there are the half awake in the morning questions, ...those are just for fun.] TC : )

To not have an idea of what elements the answer might
contain is to take the answer for granted, and in that case
why would the question be asked in the first place. The
answer must fit into a framework of authenticity. If a flawed
branch grows on a tree then all those branches which
protrude off that false branch risk the same fallacy.
Therefore, I don't want someone to tell me the answer;
I want someone to prove me the answer.

I post questions because I want to know
what other people think, or I post questions
that are fun, and make other people think.
Now, a question for you...
I'm curious. Do you use those annoying Cyber Abbreviations because you really think it's cool, or you're just following the teenaged crowd?
(This is philosophy and you said be honest...)

Answering this question and choosing either of the two first options is going to make me look like a complete idiot (lol). Soooooo it would have to be the third choice - ANOTHER REASON. And for all the smarts in you I am sure you know what that reason is :-) :-)
May the sun cast its shine upon you this beautiful day :-)

Neither, I post a question to hear the responses. If I wanted to be parroted I would get a parrot. If I wanted to know something I will research and yes yahoo might be a part of it. I always verify information with other sources though.
