Everyone notices bad qualities about others but they don't want to ever admit that they have bad qualities.(I do this too)
Everyone is so concerned with how something is going to affect them but we aren't the only ones on the Earth. For a while we weren't here and then one day we were and we think everything is about us and its not. It wasn't our choice to be here we were just put here and its like life really has no purpose. We are just all wandering around until we die. Does anyone else feel the same? I need to know your thoughts.

Every living thing is self- centered.
Survival demands it.
Try to step on a bug and it will run and hide to survive.
It is our strongest instinct.
It is self-centered.

The only control that is absolute is self-control.
Self-centeredness occurs when all the self-control is
projected inwards rather than sharing the effort in
an outward direction. To base life on controlling
solely external subjects is to live a life of purpose for
those external subjects. The efforts gained from self-control
should be distributed appropriately to internal as well
as external integrity. The efforts which are associated
with internal beliefs provide self-purpose. The efforts
which are associated with external beliefs provide
social-purpose. It might seem as if we were wandering
around aimlessly if we live either too internally or externally
because how can the self who lives solely for the others
know their own purpose(considering that the self sacrifices
their own identity in the process), and how can the self who
lives solely for themself know that anything is really worth
the effort(considering that the self would have to be
considered so complete that effort couldn't improve itself).

I think that our "purpose" isn't just us wandering around aimlessly; I think our "purpose" is to evolve. We are here to Center Our Self and Become the Greatest Version of The Grandest Vision we ever had about our SELF and show that through our example daily.
STAY SELF-CENTERED!
BELIEVE IN IT, DO IT, & HAVE IT!!!

Of course, we all do. We wonder what our purpose in life is. We know we were put on this earth for a reason but don't know what it is. Someday we will know or we will go through life and not fulfill our mission that God put us here for. If we knew the reason for our being here we would not hesitate to fulfill it. We all want to please our Lord and go to heaven. Some of us will, but the rest of us won't because we can't figure out our purpose. and some of us don't care, we just want to live to please ourselves.

I do notice these traits in humans and wonder about them too. I'm trying to figure out the meaning of life. Humans do seem to be hurting the earth more than helping it. But i still don't really know myself.

actually everything on earth is dependant on something... like plants on sun, animals on their prey, and us humans only think about ourselves and our survival.... it's our nature.... we never think bad about ourselves because we say.... we were thinking about ourselves for our own good.. we make ourselves the victim... and by us pointing out the bad in others we feel better.... but we get involved in this negative cycle which is hard to get out of.. our purpose here is of a higher calling than that which we see with our eyes..

self centeredness is a step in the spiritual ladder ....we need to know ourselves and cultivate forgiveness and understanding of ourselves before we can be of any good to those around us.

The only way I have found for people to genuinely get the 'big picture' about themselves is to look at themselves with a God perspective....see themselves and situations from an objective point of view.

When we step out of ourselves and our awareness horizon is shifted...we begin to SEE more clearly.

I think it's the old 'remove the plank out of our own eye before taking the sliver out of another's.

once a person steps out of the insecure stage of 'tit for tat' pettiness, they can view their interactions without feeling threatened, and with the power of Love and insight...two very wonderful ways to OBSERVE for the purpose of growth and awareness instead of judge because of fear or the feeling of lack.

I feel today's human race is so self centered because we are a nation of wanting all our needs met right now...
We don't want to wait for something or earn the right to buy something...
We want something and we want it now...
No one remembers all the work, sweat and toil it took our forefathers to make this land work and raise crops and families...
We are so fast paced now, we can't see working towards a goal, as everyone wants all their desires met now...

Human beings occasionally reach a level of thought/feeling that takes them out of their small narrow minded existence Into the ocean of reality. Then they complain ."Why did I , do humans act like that?"
