They have been trying to do something about the way women are treated in fundamentalist Muslim countries for a long time. For the most part they could not even get the US military and US corporations to provide equal treatment of their female employees and customers in these countries, so how can you expect them to effect foreign governments let alone radical extremist.

then, look at the odds of whatever your answers were actually happening usuing common sense... that's your answer...

because most actions they can take wouldn't be worth the time taking them

and their media won't let you on it...

is it possible...they have and you missed it. and if that issue became their main focus would they need to say it every day to make sure everyone heard them?....case in point.... even the current president has admitted , saddam had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack, yet there are still a number of U.S. citizens who believe he did.

Imus was a victory for them so I don't know how you can challenge their judgment on that decision. Sometimes you gotta generate some momentum before you take on the tough fights.

They would fight for their rights to abuse women to the end. Even bringing the subject up would be reason for full out jihad, as they feel it is their Allah given right to treat women as they do.
