The greenhouse at my undergraduate institution housed caiman alligators (in cages, of course), and in the greenhouse where I am currently pursuing my MS in Environmental and Plant Biology, we have a Koi pond with about 5 fish. So my answer would be yes - as long as the animals can withstand the warm temperatures and are properly taken care of.

I concur with the other answerer. The animal has to be able to withstand a tropical like state. A kitty cat would surely die of dehydration.
