A traditional legend holds that if visitors throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain (Rome), they are ensured a return to Rome. Among those who are unaware that the "three coins" of Three Coins in the Fountain were thrown by three different individuals, a reported current interpretation is that two coins will ensure a marriage will occur soon, while three coins leads to a divorce. A reported current version of this legend is that it is lucky to throw three coins with one's right hand over one's left shoulder into the Trevi Fountain.....
I always wish for health and happiness.

I have, but only because it was there. I did make a wish, and it was for selfish reasons. That is why I don't do it very often. I guess it makes some people happy, then why not do it, an individual choice. My my aren't I the unimaginative person. Have a good day.

no but when I find a coin in the street I make an X with it and a wish. If you find it face down it's half as lucky.

yes, I do and usually from the third floor of the mall. it is so fun to watch them propell down to the 1st floor, and PERHAPS make it in the fountain...
I can't tell you the wish because then they don't come true. You're not supposed to tell.

Yes, I do...often...and the wishes are usually for something "special" for a member of my family...for my son to have something happen in his life that he is wanting...or my husband to reach a goal that he is working on....sometimes it's for health issues. I was taught to believe in them as a child and as I get older, I find it hard to completely let go of the belief in them...now, I feel as though they are more prayers than wishes.

I used to do that, but I got tired of doing that because my wishes never came true. I always wished to be debt free, & here I owe on credit cards & student loans.
