I'm starting a new job on Monday at HR Block. I have a sit behind the desk position so it's not like I'm dealing w/ customers face-to-face. I have a nice stock of button-down shirts and black slacks w/ nice shoes to go with them. Is there any suggestions on how I can mix up my wardrobe so people won't think I'm wearing the same thing everyday? AND... I'm debating whether or not I should wear a suit everyday?

1] bring or wear a jacket to work, at least on the first day. Get a feel for the standard of dress - it is better to be overdressed than under.
2] then, re-assessyour wardrobe. Do you need more jackets/skirts/slacks?
3] buy a few dressy t shirts when you see colors you like. A wardrobe is a work in progress - don't buy everything at once, or it will all wear out at once.
4] invest in a few pairs of comfortable, professional shoes in assorted neutrals.
5] collect some classic jewelry in a style you like. [ pearls, gemstones, gold or silver, enamels ]. Changing jewelry changes the whole outfit.
6] rotate what shirt you wear with different slacks and skirts.
example: week one, wear baby blue blouse with navy skirt and shoes, and silver jewelry. Next time, pair suit with bright red top and blue blouse with light gray skirt and silver jewelry.
7] Make sure you have flattering haircut, manicured fingernails [ polished or buffed ], and makeup that says
' Isn't she pretty ' instead of ' how much, mister? '

Firstly, YES the Melbourne cup IS going forward. As for the get dressed code, whatever is going (besides for trackies ofcourse!) Your exceptional wager is a mid calf cocktail get dressed, pair with a hair or different head add-ons. Just watch out as to what sneakers you put on- wedges are pleasant considering the fact that they appear well and are nonetheless at ease. There is not anything worse then seeing drunken ladies walk out of the cup naked fotted. Hope you will have a pleasant day!

id probably wear a nice shirt and slacks on the first day or three and get to know how the other people in the office dress. that's probably the best indication of what you should wear. did they mention dress code at the interview? it's always better to dress nicely the first day.
