The debate exodus began two months ago when John Edwards became the first candidate to announce that he would not attend the Sept. 23 debate in Detroit. A week later, Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama (news, bio, voting record) announced they also would not participate.

Given the ridiculous gameplaying and grandstanding regarding the iraq funding bill, especially after loading it with pork, 757 gate, the non taxpaying territorial vote grant in direct violation of the constitution and now this, perhaps we can show these manipulative "candidates" if they dont want to share policy with the voters based on "whining" about partisanship, we dont want to share votes and interest with them. Surely the us will be better off.

Well, at least some of the "lower tier" candidates will get a lot of time to talk about their views and opinions on issues. Might be good if you ask me. Although I will laugh at most of the framed questions the Fox News team will throw at them. Should be entertaining.

the Dems will vote for the Dems and the Repub. will vote for the Repub. Quit pretending like the debates mean something....Bush got smoked in every debate in 2004 nd still won
