Here are some tips that I live by when buying on eBay:

1) Look at feedback score as well as what that total number is. If over 99%, you can be fairly comfortable in their track record. Why would you be one of the very few to get taken if this is the case? Also, the higher that number is overall, the longer they've been doing it, the more reliable it will be to buy from them.

By the way, you can also read WHY they received any negative feedback, if any. Sometimes that helps, too.

2) Just a quick cautionary note on WHERE the eBay seller is registered. I have seen many sellers of electronics, DVDs and computer software out of China and other parts of Asia. Having traveled to Asia a few times, I can tell you they are big into pirating and copying movies and software. I would just caution against buying that sort of thing from that part of the world. I'm not saying they're all bad, but still, be cautious.

You should go by the feedback percentage each seller has, the higher it is, the more reliable it is. Because these sellers having a very high feedback and also a high percentage, it means their stores are popular and it is pretty safe to purchase items from them. Also, the more sales these people do, the higher are the odds of a return and/or refund from the seller. Hope this helps.

Try looking at their feedback and what other people say about them. There should be red negative replies if theyre bad and green positive replies if theyre good! =)
